One wheel or Two?

Here's the scene, I was out riding the zx-12 the other day on an abandoned road......now I was just messing around but then I realized that when pulling into a wheelie and leaning forward while pinning the throttle the bike seems to accelerate noticebly faster then when it is on both its wheels. Now am I just crazy or has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

******** Please don't try this if you feel you don't have the greatest balance, and IF you do try it make sure there is no one around that you might hurt, better yet take it to the local track (they usually have paramedics on stand-by there)!!!!!!!!*********

Re: One wheel or Two?

If you leaned forward and gave it the same amount of throttle without being in a wheelie, it'd accelerate just as fast or faster.

Re: One wheel or Two?

Just watch the GP boys. Their bikes are very capable of power wheeling in gears 1-3 and they keep the front end down like its second nature. Definately faster.
