One wheel or Two?

Here's the scene, I was out riding the zx-12 the other day on an abandoned road......now I was just messing around but then I realized that when pulling into a wheelie and leaning forward while pinning the throttle the bike seems to accelerate noticebly faster then when it is on both its wheels. Now am I just crazy or has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

If you leaned forward and gave it the same amount of throttle without being in a wheelie, it'd accelerate just as fast or faster.

yeah when it's on 2 wheels, an depending on the roll on speed and gear its in I noticed it too, but sometimes it would just peel out instead

Just watch the GP boys. Their bikes are very capable of power wheeling in gears 1-3 and they keep the front end down like its second nature. Definately faster.
