Transmission locked - can't start-1997
Help me please!
 Display on dash that shows what gear your in does not light up. No power to theconvertible top, or the remote mirrors. I can not find a blown fuse and do not know whereto look next. As stated...The transmission linkage will no shift up or down and the car will not start.

Does the shifter move? If it does, then your shift cable is broken inside the casing. If it doesn't move then try disconnecting the cable from the linkage at the transmission and try to manually shift from there. You should be able to move by hand, but may need a pair of pliers. Be sure to shift into park before trying to start. Good luck!
