Military

Anybody else make tanks and stuff? I've just started an M2 Bradley w/troops for a 1985 Europe diorama. Was going to be an NZ LAV III, but realised after I took it out of the box that the M2 has tracks and the LAV wheels.

So...anyone do this sorta thing?

Re: Military

best choice would be Academy, Tamiya, Dragon and Italeri, they do lot of military vehicles in 1/35, but not around those for years.

I used to build mainly 1/35 armor before I got interested in car models.

Here's some of the models I've build, these are built somewhere in the 90:s when I was a teenager.

Bergepanzer IV, a Verlinden conversion on Italeri Pz IV:

Tamiya Tiger I mid production with zimmerit coating made with Milliput:

Tamiya Wespe, the last military model I've finished (around year 2000):

Tamiya M48A3 tank from the Vietnam war:

Re: Military

Tanks are pretty cool. I wouldnt mind seeing some built. Or even see some street version tanks built (but where would you put the fart can?).

Re: Military

Those are some NICE models guys. I'm not quite up to that standard of presentation yet

I especially like the SAS pinky and the M48. Very nice.

Do a search for "Willys MB" and "Something different" to find the ones that I've built. The Jeep is on hold for a little while until I can get some money for a new airbrush, but I'll finish it someday soon.

Re: Military

I have a Tamiya King Tiger I want to build really bad but I don't have the balls yet. The paint scheme and the Zimmerit is putting me off. That, and I'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding a turned aluminum barrel for it.

I recently got one of those Toyota HiLux Custom Pick Ups (by Aoshima) for a present and I really hate the way people ruin an otherwise nice car (sorry, no offence meant). So, since I am supposed to write some sort of an article about the kit, and I can't give it for someone else to build it, I've decided to spoil it some more...
I am converting it to a Police Ram Vehicle and I am matching it with... a Panther tank. I must admit I like the HiLux on Panther tracks. Does it count as military?
