D15A2 HF or 1.5, what's the differance?

I own a 1987 4 dr civic and I'd like to know how you can tell the differance between the 1.5 and HF version of the D15A2.

'87 Civic/CRX 1.5 (USA) D15A2 1.5 8V SOHC 2bbl Carb 1488 76hp@6000rpm 84tq@3500rpm

'87 Civic/CRX HF (USA) D15A2 1.5 8V SOHC 2bbl Carb 1488 58hp@4500rpm 80tq@2500rpm

i think the 1.5 is DX but im not to sure about that if that is the case then the only difference is you might get a little more gas mileage out of a HF

i thought the 87 d15a2 carb motor has 12 valves and around the 70 hp mark = i have one im an old rex sitting in my yard.

1984-87

dx 1488 cc sohc 12v/ carb Compression 9.2:1 76@5500 torque 84@3500 redline 6500 rpm

HF 1342 cc sohc 8v/ carb Compression 10.0:1 60@5500 torque 73@3500 redline 6000 rpm

the si's are fuel injected.

I've recieved the wrong info from web sites before, its possible that happened to you and i had to edit this post because I had an issue with copy and pasting a table.

I have the d15a2 12 valve motor sitting in a car out here and i've seen the 8 vavle in an 87. if you want parts, let me know = el cheapo steal of a price you shall recieve in relation to the d15a2 = i have!!!
