if the tranny is a 5speed it should work auto it wont

i dont see how does a tranny from 1.8l is goin to fit 4g63 engine. from what i see F5M22 tranny is used in the 1.8l and 4g63 N/T , and FM533 for the turbo models. but than , if the FM522 mounts to a 4g63 N/T than, y wouldn't it fit a turbo model. i dont know, probably i'm wrong but u need to do some research. also i'm sure that the gear ratios are different, so find out how would this affect the whole thing. the 1.8l tranny might not be strong enough. just my 0.02$

I have a 1993 talon ES w/ 4g63NT motor and have succesfully installed a 5 speed transmission from a 4g67(1.8), works fine, just the rpm's are higher in 5th on the highway, other than that, dont see any difference
