I have a cooling question
I recently bought a 92 turbo. The last few times I have driven it I noticed when I got home the sound of water boiling. It is coming from the water outlet on the motor,I can feel it in the hose that goes to the radiator and the hose to the filler. Its in the same place as the water temp sensor and my guage is saying the temp is normal.(the sensor is new). The water level seems ok.Does anyone know if this is normal?

Re: I have a cooling question
i just wrote a huge list and it got lost...stupid server
it probably needs to be bled properly (hard to do and nobody knows how) take it to toyota. and check the radiator cap. it can boil at lower temp if its not holding its pressure. did you think perhaps the sensor was fine and you should have replaced the gauge? if it overheats too badly you'll see steam coming out the radiator cap in large clouds! if the water gets pushed out the overflow it comes out as a cloud off the exhaust through the rear left wheel arch. |

Re: I have a cooling question
Hearing the coolant boil after driving is 100% normal.
That is the system working. Nothing to worry about.
