Bashed up quarter-panel.

I found a '90 240 that looks like its in pretty good condition. Im calling the woman about it Monday. But i seemed to have noticed that the rear quarter panel (drivers side) has some dents and dings in it. Im going to paint the car soon after i get it so i need everything tip top. What i was wondering is... if the panel is too bad to bash out, would it be cheaper to put stock panels back on it. Or could i buy the widebody fenders on the Enjuku website. Are they fiberglass? And fitment...are they good?
Ill have pretty wide wheels and such on it, so it wont look out of place.
Any info on these beasts will help.

the rear quarter panel can't come off and be replaced. You would have to cut and weld a new metal. The cheapest way is to bondo the dents to make it smooth. But if you are going to cover them up, then wide body wouldn't hurt.

huh? The body shop took my quarter panel off to work on it, I saw it off my self. =(
New OEM quarter panels are like $800 btw. You might be able to score a nice clean panel from the junkyard or something.. I wouldn't go bondo though, bondo sucks.

Ok i know that your info is straight Ken. I remember you having issues with that. So its 800 fore OEM, and 400 for aftermarket ones. Are the Charge Speed rear fenders just add ons? Or are they the whole deal?

I don't see how it can be taken off cause it is attached...like welded on. I mean if there were bolts and such I would understand but it looks like it is welded to the frame and goes along the roof and chassis. It is like it is one whole piece from left to right and goes all the way up to the windshield. I doubt it can be pulled off without it being cut. I had an accident too in the quarter panel and they said they would have to cut it off and weld a new one on.

Runs up to the roof? Oh.. I think you're talking about a coupe.. I'm not sure about the coupe, I would think they would make it a way so that it could be removed though..

I know for a fact the hatchback quarterpanel can be removed, blackblur are you looking at a coupe or a hatch?

I've delt with a bunch of cars, and the rear quater panel is usually welded on to the car, but, it is easily removed by just simply cutting the seam, follow the lines and it comes right off. My S14 rear qt panels are welded, and remember, I stripped it to route the harness inside, and there aren't any bolts to unbolt.

Sho, advice taken. Ken, Its a hatch. Ill call tomorrow if i get a chance to. I have to get my wisdom teeth cut out tuesday and leave on vacation saturday till the thursday after next. So itll be a while till i get any progress, but the woman seemed very willing to sell it. She said its got the 2way slip in it....we'll find out bwaahahaha. And thanks for the help so far.
