Turn Sinal Flasher 1994 LeSabre

Where is the turn signal flasher located on the 1994 LeSabre? Do you have to remove the underside of the dash to get to it?

If it's like my '90 or '95, yes. Remove the left side "sound insulator panel" (underside of dash).

Then, twist your body into an impossibly uncomfortable position and look up in the area around the steering column. You should see a round silver "can" about as big around as a quarter up in there somewhere. My flashers have been fixed to a panel with a metal clip.

Are you having problems with just turn signal not flashing, or both? You probably already knew this, but in case you didn't, it might save you some hassle--if one of the turn signal bulbs is burned out, that side won't flash anymore. The turn signal indicator on the dash will just stay on when you signal in that direction.

That happened to me just last week. I was getting ready to dig in under the dash thinking the flasher might have flaked out, and a friend mentioned that it could be a bad bulb. Sure enough...replaced the fried bulb and no more flasher problem.

Re: Re: Turn Sinal Flasher 1994 LeSabre

Tim,

Thanks for the info. My problem was an intermittent right signal. I checked the front and back and both lights were on so I didn't think it was a bulb. Later, when the right side was blinking, I checked the back and could see that two bulbs were blicking. I removed the bulbs and scrapped the contacts on the driveway and the signals are now working. It must have been dirty contacts on one bulb causing it to sometimes not blink.
