d16z6 out of delSol if i use delsol computer...
will that activate vtec, or will i have to buy something else to activate vtec?

if you do all the wiring (OBD1, and the wires for the VTEC solnoid) then it should act just like it was in the del sol....

That's probably the best way to do it (cost effective and reliable). A lot of people use the CRX Si computer and then use an RPM activated switch or a shift light to activate the VTEC at a set RPM. The problem with this is that the fuel maps are still not correct for VTEC.
