Re: good idea?????

is your talon an awd turbo? or fwd turbo? or plain jane?

anyhow here's my advice, don't sell you're car and buy something your are questionitive about. only sell your car if there is another car you just "have to have". cause then you won't regret it. but IMO, a vtec lude is a very nice choice over a talon. an si or s model... eh.

Re: good idea?????

i have a talon non turbo its got bout 160 hp im looking for a car that has more hp stock so as for im going for speed . the prelude is lighter than my talon. and as i hear h22a that comes in the si model has 200hp or near that stock. so im looking to work with a car that has more speed from stock and make it an awsome car.

Re: good idea?????

a 97 vtec has about 195 hp
http://www.webcom.com/wv/prelude/newludespecs.html
thats got everything you need to know about a 97, its all info from before the 5th gen's came to the U.S., so the specs may not be perfectly right

Re: good idea?????

ok, SI's do NOT have vtecs. 92-96 si's have a 2.3L non-vtec 160 hp motor. the vtec models 93-96 have a 2.2L 190hp motor. the 97's have 195hp, and 98-01 have 200 hp. 97-01 all have vtec's. as for speed... the prelude is not a superspeed car. you should buy a awd turbo dsm if you want cheap speed. they mod the best. but are also the most unreliable and second to the civic in the everyone has one catergory.
