My 1992 S10 Blazer 4.3L engine code W 143,000+ miles does not start when it is hot. I don't mean only the engine, even when the temprature is hot. eg. The other day it was 98, it would not start, cranks good, in the evening after it cooled off a little it started on the first crank. When it does start it runs great, gets good milage, good power.
Within the past 18 months these parts have been replaced. EGRvalve, Catalytic converter/O2 sensor, Throttle positioning sensor, Hot air sensor, Spider web injectors, Plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and ignition control module. |

Mine Too
Did you fix your starting problem? I have the same problem. Engine turns over fine and runs fine when it finally starts. It starts pretty good first thing in the morning but when it's warm it cranks and cranks and finally starts sometimes it stumbles and coughs to a start with the strong smell of fuel. New pump and filter, new plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. I think it is the fuel pressure regulator, but I wondered what you found out.

Re: S10 Blazer Does not Start when HOT
Haven't got to it yet. smokey041369 says to check the choke distributor and vapor lock. I talked with a bbuddy at work he suggusted that it might be the mass air flow sensor, since I had the injectors replaced.
