Re: spark plugs and wires

accel wire sets are the one of the best to use. Check out site:
http://go.mrgasket.com/ProductDetail...&minselection=

best ones I use are the 300+ series in my v6 running off my accel high performance coil

Re: spark plugs and wires

Ive heard alot of bad things about accel products. I like to use MSD superconducter wires. Theres also Taylor wires, they make good stuff too.

Re: spark plugs and wires

The best wires your gonna find are
Nology Hotwires.. Way better then the ones mentioned.. Very expensive though..
As long as your car is running good.. theres no reason to change your plugs.. (a lot of people are under the misconception that they should change their spark plugs often) But if you want a higher performance plug.. Ide get AC delco rapidfire plugs

Re: spark plugs and wires

I was about to bring up Nology, a wire set w/ each wire having it's own individual ground.
Now, on another note, everyone likes platinum or iridium plugs, but I don't see why you would use such materials, copper is the best conductor, that is what I was under my hood.

its not just a ground.. each wire has a capasitor on it that builds up a charge and releases it when needed

Re: spark plugs and wires

Silver is a better electrical and thermal conductor of electricity than copper or any metal, and Nology Spark plugs have silver electrodes...

But, personally I dont think there is a "best" spark plug.. Everyone has their own opinions.. and mine is that you aint gonna notice no difference from what performance plug to the next.. I use ACDelco rapidfire plugs in my camaro, cuz they are specifically GM performance.. I use Denso Platnium plugs in my supra because I havta use platnium in the turbocharged engine and Denso is a big name is Toyota performance..

my two cents..

Re: spark plugs and wires

yeah thats pretty much the bottom line. there really isnt a large performance difference with plugs and wires. the car will run smoother and a little more efficient, but you wont notice a change in HP or anything. they really only make a huge difference on a high compression engine, or forced induction...
