90 2.4 won't start
when i try to start her she just kind of buzzes from around the starter solenoid. i put in a new solenoid and think i have it wired correctly, small wire to s terminal, everything except the wire running from the starter goes on the right side when you're looking at it from the top, including the pos battery cable? when i try to turn it over the tach needle rises and i get the buzz, anyone have any suggestions before i call the scrap guy to come get her. also i'm jump starting her at the time so i know its not the battery, i also tried to jump the solenoid by jumping the two studs

I'd say new battery too. A battery has to have some juice left to be jumped or charged. If yours is dead then hooking jumper cables to it from another car will not do the trick.

oh by the way, trying to jump the two studs on the solenoid won't do a thing. the purpose of them is to make a connection between two cables when the solenoid recieves power. so hooking a cable up to each end won't do anything.
this is assuming i understood your post right
