the newer elantras have the same engine as the 4 cyl tiburon, they have some good speed, not anything id call fast but decent with a stick shift...you wont pass much with it though but at least you cant call it slow

4cyl Tiburons are SLOW...v6 GT's are semi quick at best (out of the box)...however the V6 is run fat as the nutty professor, they respond VERY well to bolt on mods and especially boost because it leans the engine out a bit.
