my left signal lights dont blink!

my left signal lights, front and rear as well as the dashboard signal, dont blink. they do however, light up. is the problem a fuse, blinker, or the bulbs? its just weird how all 3 signals light up, but dont blink. thanks

Re: my left signal lights dont blink!

my idea is a bad ground. for instance, my dads right tail light socket on his 67 chevelle likes to come out a little and doesnt get grounded enough so when i hit the right bliker it wont flash, the dash light comes on and stays on.

Re: my left signal lights dont blink!

It won't be a ground problem. It is more likely your BTU is burnt out so your lights will not work, just stay on continuously (your turn signal light stays on). Where is it located you ask? Well in my 85 camaro my BTU switch was located behind my speedometer console tucked away between my interior dash chassis. A bugger to get to but once i pulled the speedometer console out it was much easier.
Change that, if that doesn't work, then check your bulbs out and do an ohm check on your wiring system

Re: my left signal lights dont blink!

well if it was the BTU wouldnt that effect both sids not just the left? and if im not mistakeing if it was just a bad buld or something, the rest of the lights would still work.

Agree with berkes454, thermal flasher or bulb.
