fun saturday!

well i got my car back from the welding shop yesterday it turns out i had a crack on my exhasut mainfold. but its fixed now.. man does the car run soo much better. make 8psi in 80degree weather at 2500rpms.. hehe

so i decided to go drive around and hang with my boy. i just love to heay my turbo wine i never heard the wining this loud b4 and my bypass sounds really loud.. so on my way there i see a nice 1.8t dropped w/ exhaust... so i catch up next to him not boosting, we are at 30mph so i punch it take the car to 50mph easily let off at this time my turbo is spooling hard and my by-pass sounded loud. so i wait for him to catch up he just noddes his head no.. so im like wat ever and drive off..

ok so i meet up to my boy and he decides to run me.. he just finished putting msd into his civic.. his mods 1.6l non vtec sohc (d16) running no filter, msd, and 2.5" cat back..btw his car weighs like 2700lb as opposed to my fat 3100lb car.. so we take it from a stop. i launch my car at 2500, and so does he (both auto) i take im off the line and get him all the way in the end he was 3 cars behind me.. we got up to 85ish then slowed down..

on the way back home from my cuz house just now like 1:00ish.. i run into this stang.. lightly modded, exhaust, dropped, ect.. short story. launched at the light at 2500, spooled that turbo up like nuthing, left him by almost 2 cars we only got up to 60ish.. btw the temp ariund here in the night is about 70sih not to bad..
well its fun and i just got my mbc in to day, can wait to install it and boost 12psi and go v-8 hunting hehehe

Re: fun saturday!

V8 hunting. I"m just taking a minute to mull this over. Keep in mind while your pulling the Elmer Fudd theme here. Not all wascally wabbits are slow. As you may have noticed a good 90% of Firebird's and Camaro's on the road are SLOW. (mine is now exception) but a tip for the import crazed racer. Anything after 1993 with a V8 and you can't even think of beating it, not with a turbo in something like that. However, beating a mustang is no claim to fame. It's like beating a school bus with a flat.

Re: fun saturday!

BTW Since I know you'll be "hatin'" all over that statement, please send your slurs to my email or pm them to me, so your not polluting everyone else with crap.> In the event that you can catch the advice and respect i threw at you, then good man.
Jake
PS I have a great respect for anyone that puts work into their car to improve, no exceptions (not even for mustangs)
PSS The reason I wrote this is because i've noticed that a lot of people on here are very irritable.

Re: Re: fun saturday!

i have nuthing agains v-8 i have great respect for the v-8 and i know they are fast my my statement "go v-8 hunting" i just want to see how i do agains a v-8 powered car. common man i only got 4clyd.. you guys have double the displacement and cly. then me.. the stang was most likely a 6cyld one i saw no signs of a v-8 and it didnt sound as mean as a 8.. man if i could i would love to have a old muscle car with a v-8 i would lean to chevy and a nice 427 or a 450 motor.. umm carbs rock! but i cant so i stick to my 4cyld and make the most of it and for now i am happy.. and when i boost 12psi really soon ill be even more happy..

v-8's from 1993 and newer don't scare me. You need to go drive a turbo car and see what you are missing.

Re: fun saturday!

Good kills. Eventhough a Mustang has more then twice the displacement of you, you also have to consider that you have forced induction.
