Sweet pics bros. Thourun, your hair's hella blue. I expected it to be darker though. Hehe PearlGT, what type of stereo system you got back in your trunk? Your speakers are huge!

It was lots darker but it's been a while since I have redone it so it's kinda getting teal.

IM GLAD YOU ASKED THAT QUESTION

hahaha they are 2 pioneer 10' subwoofers, if you haven't seen speakers like that before they are called subwoofers (subs) and produce mass amounts of bass. I power them with a small rockford fosgate amplifier which i plan on changing because it likes to cut off a lot
on the interior what you can't really see if a pioneer head unit which is pretty damn decent and has a bright blue display that looks pretty kick ass at night. Yes i enjoy music.

Thourun, i like the hair and how it almost matches the car, nice man haha

LOL I've seen speakers like that before. I just don't know if there is a difference between speakers and subs so I just use them interchangeably. How much weight do they add to your car?

And how do you wire them? They're realy cheep at circut city all assembled and everything, I'm thinking of getting one after I get 4 new speakers and 2 new tweeters.

I'd estimate a good 15-20 pounds? nothing too noticable but nothing beneficial either. Im thinking about getting a new amplifier because mine is currently in the habbit of overheating and cutting out in warm weather. I've been saving up some money for performance upgrades (thinking of the whole twin turbo fwd scene) but i dont know, now that i look at the car in those pics i may rather go with some lowering springs and new wheels to fix up that damn wheel gap.

Nitro - thanks, this is by far my fav color for the 3000gt even though when you get up close the paint is old and worn, from afar it still looks pretty damn decent.

wiring.... i payed an extra $15-20? i think to have the guys at the audio garage in circuit city handle that for me, i dont trust myself on installing electronic things, at least not yet

the subs themselves can run from $20 per sub to i suppose around $500?

the second part to that is the amplifiers, i'd say a set up like mine cost around $300 with amp, subs and warranty. If your only looking for one sub then it could be significantly cheaper because your only getting one sub and then your amplifier wont have to be that expensive at all because it will only be powering one sub.

Check out my friends system, hes got 2 amps one for speakers and one for subs and 12' alpine subs, new speakers and tweeters and head unit, altogether costing around $2,000.... its pretty damn insane.

he barely has any trunk room.

Wow 2k? For SOUND!? I love my tunes but not that much! our cars come with amps too! (at least mine did, maybe it was aftermarket or something). And do subs realy increase the bass that much? I thought the infinity speaksers had great bass, ohh well maybe I've just been missing out.

haha im pretty sure the sole purpose for subs is bass but it all depends on the music you want to listen to, i like pretty much all music and i like them all with plenty bass...and though the bass that new tweeters and speakers produce is pretty good and plenty for some people, good subs produce bass that will have your dad waiting outside the door telling you you've gotta turn off the damn bass because it wakes up the neighbors when your driving down the street playing your music at normal volumes.
really i think infinity speakers will do just fine... the subs get a little overpowering sometimes but its oh so sweet to be one of the loudest on the road.

See if you can get a taste of what subs sound like from a radio shack guy next time your there checking out audio, i dont know if they have a testing room in yours but if they dont then maybe get one of the guys there to play his for you (chances are if the guy works in car audio hes probably got some nice equipment in his car)

Hehe I think I'll go into circut city then some time and check it out, I like bass but I don't think I'll want it enough to buy it.
