engine swap
can i replace 2.9 v-6 in 88 model ranger,with 2.5 4 cyl. out of a 92 ranger.i can buy 2.5 with 5 speed for 150.00 thats cheaper than 600.00 for trans. for my 2.9. if these are the same trans. i wont haveto change engines..im just trying to get it running so i can sale truck,so im not worried about performance.
