e-type sighting

so i live in cedar falls, iowa. it's a mid sized college town; population of somehwere around 100,000 with no real excellent cars to speak of. Well anyway, i was just hanging out in a park on campus when i saw a pristine jag e-type 4.2 in british racing green. I am a true car nerd, but i dont know much about old school jags, but i thought e-types are fairly rare. Was this an uncommon occurance or just some everyday happening?

Re: e-type sighting

Nice. Here in the UK I see one every couple of months. Was it the coupe?

My grandfather is vintage Jaguar collector. He owns (right now) a Mark IX, a 354 sedan of some sort, and a V-12 E-Type coupe. (Along with a porsche boxter) We just got it running nice today and I got to drive it for like 20 minutes. VERY fun car to drive I must say. British Racing green, with a brand new interior job of Tan with green piping. Would love to own one. Still working on it though It idles WAY too high though, you can take off just letting out the throttle.
