Slammed Corvette ZO6, Eclipse GST *** The Red Twins*** lots of pictures

List of mods and some commentary at bottom of the thread

I originally set out to paint my RB26DETT Integra, Metalic Red, by tamiya, but since i wont be able to paint it till mid or late august, i decided to paint my new project Corvette ZO6, and the Eclipse that i had recently finished

THe vette has no mods, except for being soo low, i have my secrets about it, i built it curbisde, cuz the 3 vettes ive attempted to make in the past have all had engine fitment issues, and the hoods wouldnt go on right if u put an engine in it

The eclipse has been shaved, including the doors, and the rear bumber, and if u notice the front piece on the side where the vents on the blitz bumber are, have also been filled in.
the hood on the eclipse has given me a lot of trouble, including fitment, so i said Screw it and thats how it looks, along with the engine

What i really like about these 2 models most is this, they both have a couple chips or scratches in the paint, which are a lot more authentic than having a super glossy car thats just 100% perfect

comments please

the paint looks very fat on both cars. for example u can barley see the body lines on the eclipse, like around the gas cap.

but i do have to say that i love low vettes

the eclipse had been orginally a diff color, so it had about 4 coats of paint on it before i put on about another 4, i didnt feel like sanding down to the white, which would have taken hours

also, the more piant, usually the better shine, with out clear coat, exc...

i am poor, and dont feel lik epaying another $5 just for some tamiya cleat coat, $5 on a can of paint is enough for me to spend

not necessary true. You can use less paint to achieve the shinyness. but as long as you are happy with it.

Honestly, without panel lines or even properly blacked out grilles or wheelbacks, the cars look very toylike. Also, the glossy shifter and handbrake pieces inside the Corvette really detract from what's otherwise a very nice interior.

Really, you got a nice shine with the paint on the Vette, but without further body detailing it looks like the molded plastic color of one of Revell's snap together Vettes.

you guys act like you havent heard of a show car before, which do have shiny interior parts

and you know what, i think door panels look like shit on model cars

and about the grill, i dont want to risk Fucking up the paint job on this car just to paint the grill black, so just imagine a red grill,

this board seriously has too many lame ass people, when you guys get your heads unstuck from your ass's let me know

dont get mad at other because you asked for comments, thats stupid and if your gonna be like that than maybe you should get your head out of your ass and wake up, because people here are just trying to help you out and all you do is sit here and tell them there wrong and stupid and stuff, just shut up and take the comments like a man, just because they said something constructive about your models is no reason to bash on them, and if you dont like it than dont post your models here.

^^ I agree with several of the above statements; the last things we need here now are more problems such as these.
