Remote Keyless Entry

I have a 2003 Chevy Venture. Ity has a remote keyless entry that I've tried to program to Mode 4 (lights flash and horn beeps once) I've followed the directions step by step in the owners manual, but it will only go in Modes 1,2 or 3 It won't let me program it to 4. Any suggestions? Thanks

Your Venture may not have the optional alarm package, which includes mode 4. Are you sure this is available to you? If your original key fob has the red panic button on it, then you should have mode 4 and should be able to program it, but if not, then you only have mode 3 or mode 2 capability.
