Long article, but VERY compelling.

That's a real good article. I enjoyed it thorougly and it does raise important questions about racial profiling.

Wow, that article was amazing. Well worth the read, might read it again.

I read that the other day off of Corvetteforums and had about the same reaction. All I can say is the other passengers showed a lot more restraint then I would have.

I agree, they showed a hundred times more restraint than I would have.

It could have been a "dry-run" practice by those guys like the mentioned happening on European flights. How could you think it was an exercise implemented by the US?

Great article though. Pisses me off about the anti-descrimination bull-shit.

I believe FireBall brings up a good point. Fire departments burn down actual buildings for big tests of how the city would respond to a situation (of course not buildings in use or with people in them). But if the Feds wanted to know how a group of air marshalls or passangers or crew of a plane would react to a situation like the one in the article. It would also explain a lack of media attention, if it was just a drill, and they wanted to keep it hush hush. The FAM could have even been on board to keep anything from happening to one of these middle eastern men if one of the passangers got a little to anxious or irate with the situation.

I don't think it would have been an exercise. Some people are nervous enough on airplanes. Do that if someone on the plane has a heart condition and the shit would really hit the fan.
