95 dash in 88 truck possible?

I was wondering if the dash out of a 95 chevy truck will fit in my 88 chevy truck, I can get a wrecked 95 and I really like that style interior. I know there would be some modifying but for the most part, is it possible? Are the dimensions similar between the two trucks. Anyone know?

Re: 95 dash in 88 truck possible?

Well on the outside, an 88 and a 95 truck are identical. And I do know the seats will inter change. I'm sure hte dash would change out (I mean that's all GM did in 95, freshen the interior), but I dont know this for a fact, and I don't know if any modifications would be needed.

I just know the trucks are identical as far as demensions go.

Thanks for the input, anyone else have any more info? I know the plugs for the dash probably won't match, but besides that, will it fit?

Re: 95 dash in 88 truck possible?

I've seen it done on a few trucks in Truckin' the main hang up I can see is the wiring & you might need to weld some mounts for it. Back when I had my first car a 73 Camaro I swapped the dash from a 81 Camaro it was a simple swap though.
