what controls the beeping when a door or lights are left on?

I used to get a warning if i left my lights on or the door is open with the keys still in the Ignition. but it wont work anymore. does this happen alot with owners? and also if so what is the best way to fix it..It effects me arming the stock alarm system. plus i miss my car beeping at me..one other thing. my clock works half of the time is it really the clock? or the wireing harnes that Leads up to the clock? thanks

yours doesn't beep? you already fixed it then! I hate that dang noise!

most cars have push switches that the dor triggers when it shut find them and spray em with cleaner and it should fix your problem. they are usually in the door jamb somewhere

The whole thing is controlled by a seperate computer. The exact location escapes me at the moment, but I do know where you can get replacements..

yeah my door switches are fine..The door lights work everytime the door is open. its gotta be the computer that controlls the beeping
