what car would you get for under 130k?

a friend asked me what one car i would get for under 130k, new or used, that was fast stock, like under 12.8 quarter mile. i wasnt sure, but i said probably a used 911 gt2, or maybe a 360 challenge stradale if it went that low. what would you get? i wanna have people name off some cars, and compare them performance wise.

Good luck finding an SL600 for under 130k, they run more into the 140k+ range. The SL55 would barely squeeze in under $130k though.

I'm gonna have to go with the original poster on the used Porsche GT2.

I'd have to go with either a used Porsche GT2 or a new GT3, leaning towards the GT3. I could get a new GT3 for less then a used GT2, and not have to worry about getting everything I want on it. The GT3 gets similar stats to the GT2, but costs alot less. A SL class would be nice, but the GT3 is a hell of a lot cooler then the Merc. You would have a near impossible time getting a 360 CS for under $130,000, its just too new, too expensive.

Call me crazy but I would get a Mitsubishi Lanncer EVO MR. Just kidding, I love that car, but the temptation of a used Ferrari 360 Modena or new Porsche 911 Turbo or GT3 would be too much for me to pass up.

hmm not sure. its between the porsche 911 turbo+ a few options, the gt3(wich i really dont know too much about, or the baddest Viper I can find. :P

if i had 130k to spare, i wouldnt spend it ALL on a car. Dont flame me or nethin but PERSONALLY, id get an s2000 and spend the rest of the money on other stuff.

I think this is just a fantasy thread...but anyways...if that's the case, I'd just get a new Z06 and invest the rest.

actually, my friend can afford any car under 130k, thats basically the main reason why he asked me. hes not serious yet though, hes gonna give it some thought, and wait a yr longer till he actually goes out looking for another car.
