Need some help upgrading my ignition...

Alright so far Ive got an MSD 6A box picked, their GM blaster coil, and some superconductor wires.

I dont want to replace the distributor but I noticed that MSD has a high performance rotor for it. Is this a good idea??? Its only like 10 bucks or something but I want to be sure it fits the stock distributor fine.

Also, what about the distributor cap, am I stuck with the GM one or is there an aftermarket one that works a little better???

Thanks...

You might as well get the MSD cap and rotor as well.. Just because I like to keep everything matched up.. Yes they do fit just like stock ones..

yeah ive given up all hope on tech support. ive discovered that you can only ask one question at a time in an email. give them a call and you will get better results...

MSD PN 8427 Rotor

Re: Need some help upgrading my ignition...

For the cap I got 8426.

8366 is the whole distributor.

Re: Need some help upgrading my ignition...

Yeah its 8426.. Shit sorry man!
thats right..

in the book, the two numbers are right beside eachother, i read the wrong one.. 8426 is the Cap number and 8427 is the rotor number
