Ford GT40

Has anyone got a model of a Ford GT40, and if so, What make is the model? Is it any good and are they easy to get hold of?
Also if there are any special kits which are very well detailed.

Re: Ford GT40

Fujimi make several version of it. Quite nice quality. Some of them have Photo Etches Parts

Re: Ford GT40

Yeah Fujimi are the way to go for GT40s. They make a whole range, with the MKIIs having the photo etch for the rear grill and a few other things. They are curbside, however there is a resin engine kit avaliable. Do a search to learn more, we discussed just this topic only a month or so ago.

For full detail there is a completely opened up resin Gulf Wyer kit from LMM. A much more expensive proposition.

Re: Ford GT40

Tikiman,I just finished a way out of production old IMC GT-40.This was the real first GT-40 ever produced. This was the #11 very first GT-40 that ran in Le Mans in 1964.I don't recomend this one, even if can find one in any place like EBAY,since of it's not as real good quality like a new Fujimi's.The only real good thing about it,it's that it came with a few engines choices to build and is very accurate on it's very first Gt-40 models reproduction. If take your time and have a look to my gallery, you will see it.I'm agree with the modelers here,Fujimi offers the best model for the buck, and you can push it to the limits and get the Historic Racing miniatures GT-40 engine kit.
