Re: honda crx si weight deduction

Is the car just for racing or is it a daily driver? If its just for racing I would loose all the stereo stuff. I personally have probably 200+lbs in just stereo.

Re: honda crx si weight deduction

They make tons of different stuff in carbon fiber; fenders, headliners, bumpers, more. Maybe Lexan windows, change out power windows/locks to manual ones if you have them (i'm sure they weigh at least a little more than manuals), light weight racing seats (sounds like you already have them from the 4-point harness thing). Other than all in the above posts there isn't a whole lot else you can do man.

lose the gas tank, get a fuel cell. Depending on how far you want to go, if you take the whole blower assembly out from out of the dash along with all the duct work.... That'll take off a couple lb's. Also, lexan windows arent street legal.
