Can someone recomend a good kit for me to get? I keep trying to find more about airbrushes, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of info that I can find. I'm a beginner, but don't want something crappy. I already bought a cheap Badger airbrush powered by an air can. Don't like that. I want a setup utilizing a compressor and anything that can do fine details for interior/exterior of plastic models.
Sorry as my requests are rather vague... is there anything good out there as far as a complete setup (air brush, compressor, etc) that can be found for around/under $200??? Thanks as always.

Not to be ornery, but what about it don't you like? Which model is the brush, so I can see which one it is?
Propellant cans can be obnoxious. Some of the hose caps have regulators, most don't. Compressors are expensive. Most are ~$100; the cheapest I've seen was $60 at a pawn shop. Someone suggested using full-size air cannisters, full of nitrogen, or something inert. They can be reflled for like $20 or something, but I don't know how much they are to buy. Sounds feasable, but I don't know the details... |

i use an air brush by aztek i think its the a320 model. its a 50 dollar internal mixt single action brush. the flow of paint is adjustable, and it requires very little cleaning. once in a while the nozzles need to be replaced but thats rare, and the nozles are only about 10 dollars each. it can be powered by a can or a compressor. im just a beginner too and so far this brush has been really good for me
hope ive helped

I'd really like something that is easier to control the amount of paint coming out. It(it, not I..hehe) messed up my RT/10 model, so maybe that's a lot of the reason why I hate mine. :-)

hmm yeah i think its the external mix thats the problem. with my expirience external mix brushes are for covering large surfaces, and they tend to spray paint everywhere. i would definately recommend that you run out and buy and internal mix brush. go and get something from testors, model masters or aztec. i hear those brands are pretty reliable and relatively cheap. does anyone else have any other suggestions?
