Stock Civic EX to JDM-B18c5 swap questions....
Ok,
I have a 1997 Automatic Civic EX. I want to do an engine/tranny swap to a manual JDM-B18c5 (aka ITR). I'm wondering how difficult this swap is going to be, because i can get a really good price on the motor. I want to know everything i can about this swap. As well as random stuff like.... How much quicker am i going to be than an Integra? Please give me facts not opinions. I have a good motor connection right now so i need only reliable information. Thanks and Peace..... |

well its not going to be cheap. If you are getting the full swap, it wont be too bad, you will need to pick up a few things to make it a manual first.
www.brokenlimits.net if you click on How Tos it has a section on coverting from auto to manual. You will need to find those parts before you can actually carry out the swap. As for speed, your car is roughly the same weight as the integra, you will be about the same speed as a Type R. |
