Re: 11 sec eg hb

Well, since you've posted "How can I get my Z28 into the 11's cheapest" and "How can I get my VR4 into the 10's cheapest" I'm going to guess you either don't have a car, or don't have enough money or knowledge to build a fast car. If you need to ask these questions you don't stand a hope in hell of building a daily driven FWD car that will hit low 11's.

Cheap, 11seconds, and daily driver do not go along together; with ANY car. The fasters street car I've seen is a 12 second awd Talon with $10,000 worth of upgrades. You'll need at least that amount of $ (i'm guessing quite a bit more), to gut the sh*t out of your car (spare tire, seats, carpet, sound deadening, AC, PS, interior plastics, etc) carbonfiber hatch-hood-fenders, plexan windows, lightweight rims, roll cage, low compression fully built motor, and a sh*t load of boost and then maybe just maybe you'll be lucky enough to hit 11 seconds; but then with all that stuff you won't be street legal.

Re: 11 sec eg hb

if u turbo it ud b pretty good hitting 12s 13s but not 11 out of a daily driver. if its a dayly driver theres no point into making it a 11s car anyways.

No offense, but you're completely wrong. If you wanted to run 11's in a naturally aspirated car you might have to do everything you said there. You can run 11's in a full weight EG and a stock sleeve LS/VTEC or GSR or B16 or ITR, keep A/C and power steering, but it's a hands on thing. Shit breaks, shit wears out, and unless you have a lot of money it is going to cost a lot to take it to a shop every time something breaks.

Right click, save target as

This is a basically full weight ITR, made 350 WHP at 10 pounds of boost. Doesn't have A/C or power steering any more, but there are LOTS of manifolds on the market that allow you to keep both. 12.0 @ 120 on street tires, not drag radials. That's a solid 11 second car on slicks, and will be making even more power now that he's swapped to a T3/T67.

Here's the best example I can come up with for a very streetable 11 second civic that has the interior, stock steel fenders, hood, hatch, real glass, air conditioning, power steering, and no roll cage. Motor is a cheap build, LS/VTEC with some 9:1 JE's and eagle rods in the stock sleeves, a GSR tranny, hondata, and the full race turbo kit. 420 WHP @ 13-14 pounds of boost, 91 octane pump gas.

Dyno Sheet
Pics of the car

Is a low 11 second FWD possible, while being mostly daily driven? Yes. Is it going to take 30 thousand dollars of mods, extreme weight reduction and make it totally unstreetable? No. Is a newbie without a lot of mechanical skill and not a whole lot of money going to be able to build and maintain it? Nope. Be happy with an H22A with boltons, if you even own a car.

11s can be done is daily driven car, its also about boost control, i mean you dont have to be pushing 15psi all the time, you could do it at the track and run 11s then turn it down to 7 for street driving.

dont gotta rag on this guy, maybe hes just doing research trying to learn about what he can do if he gets his h22 car, and kinda looking at the costs and what not. dont hate, well only hate on people that give wrong information

Re: 11 sec eg hb

Oh yeah I agree it's definently possible to get a car with stock interior in 11 seconds but I was just going along with the cheap part of it. I just figured he wouldn't have to spend any $ by losing weight which would help the power to weight ratio. And I figured it'd end up being more expensive because it seems with him having to ask the question he's probably not going to be doing the work himself; so he'd have to pay for someone to do all the work for him and that would kill the cheapness part more. But you're absolutely right.

I hear ya, I'd be envious as hell if he was running 11's in an EH.
