my coolant warning light wont go off help!

Hey all i have a 1992 dodge stealth es and the coolant level light came on not to long ago and i filled it up with coolant and it never went off. I even tried disconnecting the battery for about 5 min. but the light is still on,. Does anyone know what is causing this... is it a bad sensor or what? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks-

This might help you, it is posted in the 3000gt part of the forum, may I recommend if you have a problem, to also try doing a search of the 3000gt forum, because it seems more people post there, and you will be more likely to get a quick response. Hope it helps, if it isn't that sensor, then I would check out your thermostat.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
