95 Jeep Cherokee

I am having a problem w/ ac.
The air shut down and upon investigating I narrowed it down to the relay switch in the main fuse block but replacing the relay will not fix the problem. At this point I have jumped w/ 12 ga stranded wire and replaced the backup fuse w/ 30 amp for a temporary fix.
Anybody have a suggestion?

What is your a/c system doing? Word of caution, jumping fuse sizes is only going to create problems. You run the risk of burning wires and causing a fire. there is a reason why the fuse blew. Need to find it, or risk more damage.

UPDATE
Thanks for the reply
I have since found the problem, the relay was not bad.
It seems the dryer pressure switch is ahead of the relay on that circuit
and if bad will not allow power to any of the controls on the climate controls in dash.
Bypassing the dryer although not a permanent fix is more acceptable until I can purchase a recharge kit as replacing the switch willl warrant recharging the system and I have been assured that it will be OK until then by a mechanic that has done the very same thing on a daily driver
and get this.... left it for 3 years!
That is not my intention, but it is good to know for a tight spot.
thanks again for the reply.
