1997 Geo Prizm Stereo Unlock Codes

The battery was disabled and now I can't listen to the am/fm cassette stereo. They tell me I need a code. I have tried everything to get this information. Is there somewhere that I can get my code (FOR FREE) and information as to how I can listen to my stereo again. PLEASE HELP NEED TO HEAR SOME TUNES AGAIN. THX

I'm not sure if it will work for your radio buy try this:
1 turn ignition on and radio power on
2 press and hold presets 2 and 3 for about 10 seconds until 3 digits
are displayed. write numbers down.
3 press am/fm button with first 3 digits displayed and write down second set of 3 digits.
4 Send me these number and I'll try to get the secret code. I'll need your car model and year.

IF the code for a 1996 Geo Prism Lsi from pressing 2 and 3 on the radio is 1607, then try an unlock code of : 3387.

try 3387 to unlock your radio.

If that does not help, email me. I think the codes are more of a problem for owners than a theft deterrent.

I'm having the same problem with my radio for my 1996 prism which is really frustrating because it happens to me every time my mechanic fixes something related to my battery. Last time my code was 7542 and that's the number that appears when I push presets 2 and 3. Can you help? I have a two hour commute each day and am going a bit crazy. I've been calling dealers and they all want to charge me.
