Re: thinkin about a swap???

why in hell would you want an h22 in your teg?
please tell me you have researched a little more into b-series swap
im thinking you have an LS/GS/RS right, well the best engine to swap in is the b18c5, but not everyone can find/afford one so i'd say go for a b18c or even a b16a
h22s are too heavy and should be left to ludes and accords

Re: thinkin about a swap???

Dude, he wants that Amagine ENGINE on a light CAR....who can say no to 190-200 155-160 Torque??? H22 is not a bad swapp but I would need to agree with "Pikkagtr" h22 r better off on Lude's and Accord's....but If u really wanted to swap a h22 it probally would take more time and harder work then a b16, GSR,Type R motor's...

The easiest and most affordable swap would be the b16a2 from a JDM integra. it has 170hp and 116ft/lb. It's a cable tranny, and it's an obd1(same as yours). they go for about $1,500. That's what I might do in the future.
Michael.

the only reason i want it is because my dad owns a garage so i could have it put in for free. but if it would be hard to put in i dont wanna wait for him to find time to work on it everyday. so if someone could just answer the question instead of mocking me that would be great.

Re: thinkin about a swap???

rollin'....alright ur answer from me is "Go for it" it will probally cost u a bit more and a lil more time but it shouldn't take too long depending on how fast ur dad work's on swapping engine's and how many people R helping him....but It SURE WOULD BE LESS EXPENSIVE and EASIER if it was a B-Serie's VTEC Motor...but from what I C having a h22 on a ligher car isn't a bad idea heck I think ur better off then stock GSR's and maybe as good as a Type R TEG...(MAYBE) then again u'll again probally a couple of 100 pounds at MOST cause of the bigger heavier engine but u could always toss ur back seats BUT U COULD NEVER TURN a 1.8 into 2.2 MAD HP..TORQUE MACHINE!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
then again these R JUST MY THOUGHT'S...

Re: thinkin about a swap???

don't waste ur time with the h22 swap, too much of a headache and is mainly good for strips due to the added weight from the motor.

please tell me is there a reason why u want a swap? honestly, getting a new motor for the simple fact of performance to me is not worth it unless the h22, but u know how i feel about that motor.
think about it, u spend atleast 1,500 to 3000 for a b16 not to mention the price for installation and parts and all u get is an extra 30 hp, but u lose some torque? come on now thats ridiculous. if its was up to me, just get a compresion and leak down test to see how well ur motor is then just get a turbo kit. a $2500 turbo kit will blow those other engines away, period.
