Automatic headlights

Does anyone have a problem with their auto headlights coming on and off while parked with the engine shutdown and no key in the igniton?

If so, how did you fix it? The dealer I go to has never seen this and has no idea.
So far, I have worked around this by setting the headlight switch to OFF. But I would like to use the auto feature as installed. After all, I did pay for this feature.

It sure feels better when I stop doing this.

You're not the only one with problem. I thought mine was possessed. I can be driving down the road and for no reason the lights will go on/off for no reason. Almost like an emergency vehicle's lights. Seems to happen more as the weather gets warmer though. I haven't been able to fix mine but also would like to know how to fix.

headlamps

Any updated information on this problem?

I noticed late last week that my head lights come on periodically even when I haven't driven for hours and the keys are not even in the ignition.

A friend of mine had a Cherokee that had other "strange" electrical problems and it turned out that there was a short in the wiring that runs just behind the brake pedal. He told me that he knew of another person who also had problems with their turn signal and the culprit was the wiring behind the brake pedal.

Re: Automatic headlights

I'm also having the same problem. Did anyone figure out the problem.

Now my rear break light are on and don't seem to want to turn off even after turning the engine off. I thought it may have something to do with a fuse, but they are all fine. Perhaps something to do with the brake switch. Does anyone have an idea what to do.
