Problem

Okay my car is a 00 gs and when i push on the gas i get this really loud whinning sound. now i noticed that it only does it (or so i can hear) after third gear. but its enough to almost drownd out the engine. so if anyone could give me a hint or some sort of help that would be enough to make me stop worrying at least a little. thanx

what do you mean whinning sound like a grind type or a whistle...im not sure...but i had a problem where it involved the 3rd gear but that was a trani. problem...gimme a better desciption....
