I'm not sure about your car just dying out of nowhere, but for the misc. electrical equipment failure, did you check for blown fuses?

sounds like a bad alternator AND/OR there's no water in the battery, causing a weak voltage (get a new battery too)

Re: dead car

Did you ever find out what was wrong with your car? My car did the exact same thing in July and I still don't have it running. It will jump start just fine the the gagues and lights will go crazy then it will die out of nowhere right? I changed the alternator 2 times and got a new battery. If you know anything I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. Bethleen

Re: dead car

i had the same problem about 8 months ago with my car. The car ran just fine then i noticed some of the electrical stuff wasn't working and then i stopped my car and turned it off. It wouldn't start at all, I couldn't even jump start my car though because the alternator was completely dead. But I replaced the alternator and that fixed my problem, so more than likely it's your alternator.
