My point is made again!
The longtail is better than the short!

I suspect the GT is superior even to the LM!

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE DOES NOT BUY THE GREEN GT AT MCLAREN!! IT'S THE BEST ROADCAR EVER FOR GODS SAKE!

Who is arguing this with you?

The longtail is obviously better than the short tailed GTRs - that's the whole reason the car was developed!

As for the GT being better than the LM, that's slightly possible, but there would be a weight penalty in the GT that might offset some of it's greatness.

No one argues here!
I'm only agreeing VERY with myself right now.
The GT is the McLaren that seemes to be most "unpopular" and I think it's unfair! People blabbers all the time about the 5 LM's, what about the 3 GT's???

Hey Peloton,
let's buy that GT at McLaren and have it stripped down and rebuild with only light weight materials, then fit it with a full spoiler and wing set, romove any engine restrictors, and let's see how fast this thing can move

Well, it's been stated some times here that they wanted to sell it for 1000000£!?!
It's mentioned in several earlier posts somewhere in the forum.

Anyone, am I right or what?
I can't remember where the price was referred to....

Rebuild it with light weight materials??? What do you think it's made of now... solid lead? Restrictors? Isn't it a street car?

I'm not saying the LM or a standard F1 is better overall but, personally, I would not want a GT as I don't think it looks pretty enough.

Please don't lecture me that way and pick my words apart!
I can assure you I know how a McLaren is made and you can easily strip off the GT road some kg's! (EVEN THOUGH IT IS OF CAUSE LIGHTWEIGHT AS IT IS ALSO)
The interior and exhaust is one place to start...and the engine is possible to make even lighter with todays technology!
The car is getting a few years on it's back you know and racing tech. is under constant development.
And maybe restrictor was the wrong term to use, but it is not a problem to mod. the GT engine the same way as the LM.
Releasing even more of that BMW's potencial.

It was only a joke, please don't take EVERYTHING so serious.
I would never modify a McLAren in any way as I think it's most charming to have it as original as possible in real life!

A spoiler/wing would slow it down. You don't need downforce for high speed, and aerodynamic surfaces such as wings and spoilers generally trade drag for downforce.

GUYS, PLEASE!!!!
I was only joking with Peloton! (I should have sendt a personal message)
I KNOW WINGS AND SPOILERS SLOWS TOP SPEED!
I was comparing with the LM who is known as the best roadcar in the world.
If you fully loaded the GT i mean, I was simply saying it has the potencial to be much better than the LM overall!
And for the record, I still love the LM, I just don't think the GT gets the honor it deserves!

As always, I could be wrong, but I think there's no way in hell they'll sell the xpgt for as little as 1 million £. In Norway (and possably also Denmark, which has even higher taxes/fees for cars) 1 million £ wil get you a standard F1 if you're lucky, which puts things in perspective - 1 mill £ is not a lot of money for such a vehicle; 2 million £ would be a fairer price for the xpgt, although I can't imagine in my wildest dreams that McLaren would do something as stupid as selling their rarest prototypes if they don't have to.
