all s10's like this?

i recentley just lowered my s10, its a 94 2.2l single cab shortbed. after driving for about a month the coils began to break in and i noticed that the drivers side shit about an inch higher than the passenger side. i tried taking my coil spring out and putting it in in a different way, but that didnt do anything... someone i know who used to have an s10 told me that all s10's sit that way when they are lowered, is this true...? i was thinking about taking the spring back out and putting it in without any of the bushings on it cause i know that would lower it a little more... would that be a bad thing to do? thanks for all the input!

It's called the Famous S10 Lean. they all do it.

Yea, it's a pretty common chevrolet problem. My truck has a slight lean as well.

would taking the bushings out be a bad thing, cause the lean really bothers me, or is there something else i can do to make it less noticeable?

Taking out any bushings would be a bad thing. Squeaks and queaks and who knows what else may go wrong. There's really not much to do. If possible take a pic of the rear of your truck. I'd like to see how bad it is.

You could get an even lower kit. If you have a 2-3 kit now, you could get a 3-4 kit then use half of each kit. (eg. 2-3 on passenger side and 3-4 kit on driver side). That would level it out but you will be buying two kits and could possibly sell what you have left.

Just a thought, but don't mess with any bushings, just asking for trouble.

thats a really good idea that i didnt even think of, but i think if i even bout a 3 inch drop for the front, then the rear end on the driver side would probably drop more. i think the front may be holding it up, but i dont know, ill probably do that and find out, thanks for the ideas and help, and i will get some pics on here soon to show everyone!

Try above ... thats a belltech spacer made for the problem ... the summit part number is bel-4930

does that spacer go on the side that is lower? what i really wanted to do was take the side that is higher and make it even with the lower side... but it might come down to making it even that way, if thats how it works, im gonna try to get some pictures of it on here today for everyone...

It goes on the low side ... making it higher ... if you want the front lower just get different parts to lower the front ... I believe you can get springs in 1", 2" or 3" for the front ... maybe even 4"

I have 2" spindles on my truck with 3" springs - alas I dont have the "chevy lean" though ... I just have heard many others talking about it ... my truck is a 94 SS ... maybe the chevy lean was an option for my year/model ... lol
