Re: Clear side repeaters - 96 p10??
I've seen them come up from time to time on eBay. I've tinted mine black so haven't bought the clear ones (I have a black P11-144). Set yourself up an eBay favourite search for Primera and then set it to email you daily with the search results.
Hope this helps. -=Sean=- |

Re: Re: Clear side repeaters - 96 p10??
Thanks Sean
I do check Ebay frequently, but have never seen clear ones pop up. My Primera is white and the amber repeaters look a bit out of place. If I have no luck I may just tint them black like you to match the black trimmings. What did you use to tint yours? and would they have to be rubbed down first etc? Many Thanks..Jim |

Re: Clear side repeaters - 96 p10??
Hi Jim, I used the proper black lens tinting spray. Unclip the lenses from the car, wash them in warm soapy water, rinse them off and then put them in the sun for an hour to dry properly. Then give them 5 thin coats of spray. It's better to build up thin coats because it gives a better finish and won't run or rub off in time.
Then when you're done let the paint harden overnight then gives them a polish with some wax. Doing it this way gives the lenses a really smooth shiny finish and makes them look as though they are factory tinted. I've seen the lens tinting spray in black, blue, green, red, orange and I'm 99% certain white as well. If you're doing your lenses then you may as well do the tail lights as well. Make sure you give both sides the same number of coats so that they don't look odd. If you do spray the tail lights be careful taking them out because once your taken of all teh nuts they are stuck pretty solid and you have to carefully prise them out. Here in the UK you can get the tinting spray from Halfords or any decent car spares and parts shop. -=Sean=- |
