egr valve
my ls started idling higher than normal (erratic between 1000 and 1500) and the ecu threw the code for the EGR.
now.. i never hooked the EGR up with any wiring or vacuum and have put nearly 10k miles on the engine in the civic. how does the EGR work? how could the ecu throw a code if it was never hooked up.. could the ecu finally have recognized the problem and is trying to compensate? how do i hook it up vacuum wise.. i hooked a vacuum line from my intake mani up to it and the engine idled down but lost all of it's low end.. ran choppy when accelerating.. only in 2-3k RPM over 3k felt ok there's a 3 wire plug from it, if i used the DX harness for MFPI swap will i have to wire teh EGR directly to the ecu? the EGR is mounted on the intake mani and i don't have the part that mounts to the firewall. it's a 90 head and ecu.
