1995 CV Low Pressure Service Port?

Hello all,
I would like to recharge aircon coolant of my 1995 Crown Victoria with after market kit that I've got from WalMart. After reading very brief instuction in the kit, now I have to figure out which is the low pressure service port of my aircon???
I saw two ports, one closer to front side and the other is located close to rear side of hood, which is on the side of black cylnder.
Can anyone help me out which one is the correct one? Kit came with pressure guage. Is it OK if I just connect this pressure guage to those ports and take a reading to find out lower pressure port?

Thanks for your help!!!

Re: 1995 CV Low Pressure Service Port?

The low pressure service port is on your accumulator(the side of the black cylinder)
The "suicide kit" you bought won't fit on the high side at all. Bear in mind, the refrigerant in your car's A/C is carefully balanced to provide maximum cooling. Adding to it, or "topping up" will usually result in poor A/C performance.
If you're converting it from R-12 to R-134a, care must be taken to get the correct charge into the system. Too little and the compressor will fail, too much and the system won't cool your interior very well at all.

The pressure gage won't fit your high-side. The manufacturer made sure it won't because somewhere out there is somebody that would connect it to the high side and severely injure himself, and sue the manufacturer.
Air conditioning is not the "hit & miss" "Shadetree" activity it used to be. It can be extremely dangerous, both to you and your car.

Let a professional look at it, you'll save yourself a lot of money in the long run.
