homemade intake

today i went out to my car, popped the hood and took off my aftermarket ram air intake to get it cleaned. i always thought about having a cold air intake but could'nt afford it right now. so i went to auto zone and bought one of those mighty flow air intake hoses. i extended my intake pipe with the hose all the way down to the front bumper in front of the right front tire. man, talk about ghetto but what a difference!! my vtec lude runs smoother and pulls like crazy than before!! i was so surprised because i thought making this intake into a cold air wouldn't make a difference....but it did! i realized that u don't have to buy those expensive ass polished intakes to gain power. all u need is a pipe and a filter!
