Funny thing is, same car in England will cost $40,000 LESS. Let me count the ways I love thee American Bureaucracy.

Cool

Hey Sky, when are you gonna get posted to the olde kingdom? Where are you gonna be over there? Sure, GTRs are cheaper over there but I think the insurance premium is quite high and modding costs are also high over there. And beware, the Brits (some of them) love to vandalise GTR/Porsche/Ferrari etc!

Also since the car is still in Japan that means you still have to send it ro MotoRex and pay them $25K to have it converted over. Unless the 65K includes US spec and shipping you are better off getting ripped off by MotoRex.:flamer:

I'll be stationed just east of Bristol. I am locked in for three years, but I can extend to 5 years. As for the insurance, I have an American company that I will be able to go through, so my rate will be at least half of what they pay

Good point R35USA

Fancy walking along the beaches in Bristol, do you, Sky? Anyway, be careful when ordering GTR in the UK. Some of the purchasers of GTR in the UK have been summoned by Interpol only to find out that their GTR are stolen from Japan! You must have read about the cheap GTRs available in Dubai. Yeah....apparently, they stole GTRs in Japan, keep it in Dubai for a year or so, then sell it for cheap in Dubai or export them to the UK for unsuspecting buyers. If you want to buy GTRs in the UK, my advice is to go to a really reliable importers or buy a worked GTR from respectable tuners or buy second hand GTRs which were originally sold by official distributors. And one more thing, GTRs are popular target for car theft in the UK especially in London. Be carefull.....be very very carefull....

Ya, I have been reading up on that as well. I think I am going to buy a wheel lock. I'ld like to see them drive that suck with one of those attached to the front driver wheel.
