map sensors

alright, a guy swaped an h22 in his civic, but he didn't have the map sensor for the h22, so he took his old map sensor of his civic and put it in the h22. he was telling me that it runs, but the idle is way off like 1200-3200 rpm, he told me that he had a code 5(map sensor). my question is, is his map sensor the cause of the problem or is his idle a whole diffrent problem in it self.
