is the zc complete swap worth it?

I was wondering if the zc complete swap from nippon is worth it with the engine, trans, and ecu. also if the car isn't mpfi do you need to switch it before the swap or can you run the dpfi and switch it later. if any has any links on the zc swap id appreciate it.

Re: is the zc complete swap worth it?

you will have to switch to mpfi as the dpfi manifold will not bolt onto a DOHC ZC

Re: is the zc complete swap worth it?

the dohc Zc is worth it to me look at the price factor if u go "B" u will need axles, mounts, and Vtec wiring
If you go DOHC ZC all u need is to find axles and convert to mpfi thats it everything else is the same all d series parts pretty much bolt up

if you're car is an si...everything will bolt up use ure si tranny/axles. Don't use a zc tranny unless you take the time to switch the si and zc final drives. Also...not all bseries are vtec.

Re: is the zc complete swap worth it?

Wouldn't a "complete" swap package come with the mpfi intake manifold? My junkyard d16a6 came with one so just wondering. I know... 93 weed eater, why don't you call nippon and ask?

No, not all b-series are vtec or expensive, but why the fuck would you want one of those ones?

Re: is the zc complete swap worth it?

Yep, so is the B16 but for someone just looking for a bit more power and doesn't want to go all out the ZC is probably the better choice.

If all you're looking for is high 14s or so, ZC. If you want high 13s or lower, B16.

Re: is the zc complete swap worth it?

with your current tranny, YES. Worth it! go D16Z6 or y8
yes you will do the vtec wiring and everything but your just that much closer to putting in a B16 if you decide to do that later. B's are over rated LOL for the money
