stillen headers?

if i bought headers for my car should i buy only the ceramic headers stillen offers ($575) or do u guys think that it would be ok to spend a little less and get some stainless steel headers for $250 on ebay.

I want a good product that gives me some hp but i have always heard stillen charges way to much for their products.

Re: stillen headers?

You want a good product? The key-word is GOOD... then you definately do not want to buy from eBay. Alot of that crap is... well crap! Spend a lil' extra cash and get what you pay for! Horsepower cost money BTW... and it will always be expensive! Shop around for the best deal!

Re: stillen headers?

Expensive price typically signifies the products quality. Sad to say...

But I bought my Stillen headers used off Ebay for $275... I Bead Blasted them up, had them Chrome-Dipped... And viola. Saved money.

But yes, they are the BEST application to increase HP for the Zed. Other than Nitrous of course.

i haev been researching headers for the N/A also. i talked to a few people about them. i have limited down to 2 companies.

http://amzperformance.com/
and of course stillen.

i found out that the amz headers claim to add 18-22 hp.
i couldnt find an exact hp bump for the stillen but i have heard around 20.
AMZ = $330
Stillen = $575

if i wasnt doin the TT swap i would definitely invest my money into the AMZ headers and spend the rest on some other goodies. my opinion.

Re: stillen headers?

I believe those headers sold by AMZ are actually built by ESCORT BTW...

Yes they are 1viadrft.

i think that the AMZ headers are mocked after the escort headers because the original escort headers are offered on AMZ's website cost almost $2,000 and the AMZ headers are only $330. definitely not the same set of headers.

Re: stillen headers?

I like ebay. Alot of the stuff on there is the same thing you'd get from anywhere else, just cheaper. I've bought a lot of stuff off there (not for my car, though) and I've always been happy with it.
