03 Expedition Rear DVD-Output to sep. Monitor?
I have an 03 expedition EB with indash Nav and rear DVD (all OEM). I want to have a monitor or some sort in the front to watch the dvd #1 and #2 a rear view camera. I would like to do it as cheaply as possible but with a decent color screen that has ok resolution.
I just sort of discovered the rear view mirror with Built-in monitor from watching the show RIDES, and think this is the way I should go. My question is, can i connect one of these and output the rear dvd's video signal to this monitor (monitor obviously has the aux input)? Someone correct me if i'm wrong, doesn't the OEM rear DVD need an output, and does it have one, or is there a way to do this? Thanks, Anthony |

Re: 03 Expedition Rear DVD-Output to sep. Monitor?
Hmmm...for some reason no part of my answer showed except the smiley so i'll post again.
The best thing to do for that kind of thing is to contact a stereo shop in town and gather the information needed. I can guarantee that it won't be cheap for what you want to do. That was a great episode of Rides by the way! But yeah, a local stereo shop should be able to hook you up and do the installation aswell. if they can't do it themselves, they should be able to tell you who would. By the way, i don't recommend watching TV while driving.
