Angry My wonderful grand am

This car is JUNK i dont even know why i ever bought this car. Ive heard nothing but bad things about them. Not just that but mine has did nothing but give me trouble since i bought it. The tranny has went out 3 times. now im having trouble with it stalling and stuff. The only good thing ive got out of this car luckily was my 18 inch ICW racing wheels BARELY fit and my exhaust sounds alright with out the catylac converter. My stereo system sounds like junk because my trunk rattles.

Re: My wonderful grand am

soooo, you posted here to dump ur problems on us...I could see if you asked how to fix these problems but seriously, no one cares. It sounds to me like you need to spend your money fixing the car instead of blowing it on rims, exhausts, and sound systems. Doesnt make much sense to pimp out a car that doesnt work does it?

i wasnt dumping my problems on anyone. i was just stating the fact that these cars are totally junk look at how many people are having problems with them. Im not the only one with problems as im sure of that. The only reason i really bought any of that stuff for my car was because well i wanted it and had the extra money to spend....at the time when i bought the stuff my car was fine now its giving me problems again. the only good thing about the things i have for my car are that they will also fit on a cavalier. So if i ever had to get rid of my car i wouldnt totally be out of luck. Trust me IM NOT buying anything else for this car. Its not worth it. Ive put more money into the car than i already should have. With the money i have put into it i could have already bought a brand new car. Instead ive stuck with this one. Why do we people choose to keep fixing these cars when we know they have been junk since they came from the factory?

Re: My wonderful grand am

yeah there do seem to be a lot of problems with GA's but most of the problems on this forum arent major problems. If you go to a forum for ANY car, you'll read just as much about people having problems, guaranteed. I have yet to have a major problem with mine and it has 151k. Have you actually tried to fix ur car or have you pretty much just sat back and watched it fall apart? (no disrespect intended)

Hey good luck to ya.....my car has 183k on it....i have actually tried fixing my car....everytime something goes wrong with it we do fix it....the only reason so much is wrong with this car is because before i owned it some 16 year old girls owned it and tore it up....treated it like crap.....this is my first car so im sure u can see why i get upset that it breaks on me all the time its very stressful....

My car is a 1992 and the only bad thing about the 16 year old girl is because like all 16 year olds when they get their license they are ready to just go out and drive fast and not care about the vehicle. I cant talk bad about teenagers tho because im only 18 myself.

yeah we've all been there. Mines a 1995 but ive never treated it bad besides doing doughnuts in the winter...if that even really counts lol. I got the car when i was 18 and i just turned 20 a few weeks ago, still runs the same as when i got it.

judging by the fact that your putting on racing tires, screwing with the exhaust on this car and your only 18-19 yourself, sounds to me like your doing a fair share of the beating this vehicle is receiving. If you hadn't noticed just by looking at your car, older grand ams weren't exactly designed to go fast. Sounds to me like you want a vehicle that will go fast, buy a vehicle that will go fast, common sence. And look at how many miles you have on it, i don't know many vehicles that have over 150k on them and are mint like what your expecting.

Heres my 2 pennies, go by a new car, and unless you have a real problem, don't post it.

if you knew how most girls treat their vehicles, then why'd you buy it? Or did mommy and daddy buy it??? If thats the case then you REALLY have no room to complain.

If i could package common sence and sell it, i'd perscribe a few gallons of it for you.

-Whoa, easy there jessy james, did you find that one on a popsicle stick?

-as far as the first quote, not everybody can afford a car by themselves hot shot. Yeah, mommy and daddy bought my car too is that a problem?!?! If ur parents offered to buy you a car would you turn them down? I doubt it.

I know that this thread is pointless but i thought maybe i was going to learn something until you came and rescued me! God bless you good citizen!

Thats really unfortunate that you got stuck with a lemon of a car, and that its draining your wallet. My friend got his 97 Grand Am from his parents about a year ago and the thing has been flawless. I also understand your frustration over a girl destroying their first car... I Let my sister drive my car because she told me her dad taught her manual...He had never taught her manual...she took years off my clutch and transmission. I would say just tough it out with this car, or leave it in a parking lot in the pjs over night
